>> Branding

overview

Clarke & Simpson approached us to brand an historic estate situated on the Scottish Borders. The Douglas & Angus Estate, owned by Lord Hume, comprises of two locations. The Douglas Estate, 3,000 acres of rugged Southern Upland on the the West and The Hirsel Estate, 3,000 acres of rolling parkland on the East.

Our job was to give Douglas & Angus a parent brand and then two separate sub brands for the individual estates.

Our solution is a new family identity steeped in history. We took the Salamander from the Douglas Clan and The Lion from the Hume Clan (Hirsel). These stand over the Heart of King Robert the Bruce.

The family crest is then separated to represent the two individual estates.
